Golden Globes 2010 Runway to the Red Carpet

Chloe Sevigny in Valentino Spring 2010Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix Haute Couture Spring 2009January Jones in Lanvin
Sandra Bullock in Bottega Veneta Spring 2010
Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior Spring 2010
Tina Fey in Zac Posen Resort 2010
Zoe Saldana in Louis Vuitton

As much as fashion lovers anticipate awards season to see which of our favorite stars match up with our favorite designers, there is always a tinge of disappointment with the red carpet. NY Mag accuses award show dresses of being boring and ugly because major designers refuse to lend to Hollywood. At this weekend's 67th Annual Golden Globes, many of the major designers were represented, but designs often seem less impressive on the red carpet than on the runway. Take a look and decide for yourself which is better.

NEW YEAR, NEW GIRLS!

It's been a busy month of new arrivals at Eilte London as the dawn of a new decade has seen a whole heap of fab new girls join the board! First up the gorgeous Juana Borga who joins us all the way from Peru. Just like our other fave Latina girls she has skin to die for and is effortlessly feline... we're jealous already!

Also new and now in town is our latest Brit-on-the-rise Georgina Toms; and we're also pleased to welcome the gorgeous Kristine D from Latvia to London and our development board. Hi girls!

Shopbop Sale: Jerome Dreyfuss Bags

Suede Billy Bag, $635.60 (30% off), at shopbop.com; Suede Fernand Bag, $434 (50% off), at shopbop.com; Gilbert Tote, $721 (30% off), at shopbop.com

Three of Jerome Dreyfuss' bags are included in Shopbop's latest sale and I love them all. The Billie bag is his signature shape and this bright violet shade is a great statement color. I've been wanting one of these for a while now. The cross-body suede Fernand bag is a good way to participate in the boho cross-body trend without looking cheesy and the Gilbert tote is the perfect work bag. I can't wait for his store to open up in New York this year. I also can't wait for his wife, Isabel Marant's, store to open up next door.

ELITE MODEL LOOK STAR STRIKES AGAIN!

We were pleased to welcome back to London the beautiful Victoria Tuaz from France who was on a flying visit last week. As befitting a girl who has already graced the pages of Italian Vogue, our editorial clients went mad for her once again and during her short trip she manged to cram in shoots for Metal Magazine (shot by Leon Mark), Bon Magazine (shot by Aitken Jolly) and Dazed & Confused magazine - shot by another one of our favourite photographers, Nick Dorey. Once again an Elite Model Look girl proves her star quality!

Zac Posen for Target: The First Look

The first images of Zac Posen's collection for Target were posted today by Fashionista and I have to say, it's not half bad. Target has been rolling out their collaborations pretty quickly of late and just as we got to digest the Rodarte for Target collection, we have a new one on its way. The 21 looks are oh-so Zac with fun flirty dresses, sexy swimsuits, and bold prints. My favorite looks are the top three, but that's mostly because the remind me of Proenza Schouler. The collection will be available starting April 25.

If this isn't enough, the lookbook for Jean Paul Gaultier's Target collection surfaced this week.

Calvin Klein loves Constance

What did we tell you? First Campaign of the year to come out featuring Constance Jablonski is Calvin Klein S/S 10 shot by Craig McDean. We love the minimalist style and bright colours, but really we can’t take our eyes off those cheek bones! Constance is walking proof that Elite Model Look contestants can make it as supermodels.

Alexandra Cassaniti Summer #4

I've been a huge fan of Alexandra Cassaniti's Summer-themed collections for a while. Nothing makes me happier than her playful use of neoprene and relaxed cuts. When she recently came out with her vial necklaces, a collaboration with Unearthen jewelry, it was an indication of more good things to come. The preview for her upcoming collection, Summer #4, does not disappoint with a softer palette and new materials. Even with all of the awesome neoprene, I'm most excited about the bags, especially the clear PVC one.
