Nothing says "I went on a roadtrip through New Mexico into my rich grandmother's jewelry box" more than these crafty-luxe Missoni earrings. And that is why I love them.

Neon Camping Bracelets
I, like most fashion-loving twenty-somethings, became immediately obsessed with Proenza Schouler's Pre-Spring 2011 camping-inspired jewelry. Despite being the perfect (budget-friendly) product to fill the gaping lack of Proenza in my closet, what they really did was get my crafting impulse going. After enlisting Mark, we went perhaps too far and created a nice little collection of camping bracelets. Since I can only wear one or two max, we posted the rest on Etsy. If you're interested, it would make my day to sell one to someone other than my good friend Paul.
UPDATE: Shop is replenished with new bracelets coming this weekend. Thanks to everyone who purchased!

DIY: Wall-Mounted Bulb Lamp
My room suffers from the curse of someone who got overzealoused about energy-safe bulbs and thus has a bright sterile white glow. A little trip to Ikea and a lot of help from Mark created the perfect little lamp to solve the problem. We used an Ikea wall bracket, Ikea lamp cord, and a standard silver bowl bulb and drilled three notches to hold the cord, all for about $10. How do you think it goes with my YSL Manifesto print?

I Could Make That: Jasmin Shokrian Draft No. 17 Terry Circle Tunic
This is the first in what could be a series of posts chronicling things that I find, like, and think I could make, but never will. This tunic top by Jasmin Shokrian is the perfect kind of simple chic for a DIY. If only.

A.P.C. Quilts: How to Make a French-American Quilt
I love everything about A.P.C.'s quilts. I love that they remind me of the quilts my mom made when I was growing up. I love the classic American craft patterns. I love that the simple blocked patchwork feels decidedly modern. I love that A.P.C. can mix heritage, their archive, and history and actually feel sincere. I really love how cozy it would be to cuddle under one.
Finally, my years of going to quilt fairs feels a little cool and the sewing machine in my closet might get some use.

Feeling Friendly for Friendship Necklaces
Friendship necklaces are totally it right now. The main reasons they seem to be popping up everywhere are that 1) they are adorable 2) they remind us of our childhood 3) they have to be handmade, meaning that every one is unique and that makes us feel special. All 3 of these reasons are also why I am 150% pro-friendship necklace. There are a lot of options out there, but my favorites are by Kate who designs For Me, For You and Caroline who designs Brvtvs.
