ELITE GIRLS @ ARISE: AFRICA'S FASHION COLLECTIVE

Elite has been a big supporter of Arise magazine since its launch earlier this year, so we were thrilled to see Sessilee's cover for the new edition projected on the catwalk at the Arise: Promise of Africa Collective show at New York Fashion Week yesterday. And we were very proud to see Sessilee, Sigail and Georgie B, all of whom who have featured in Arise this year, strutting their stuff on the catwalk for the show itself, which showcased the work of four designers from across the African continent. Good job girls!

OVER IN NYC...

Show season got underway yesterday and we were pleased to see some Elite London girls on day 1 in New York. Our favourite sightings of the day were at BCBG Max Azria, where Dorothea Barth Jorgensen got her season off to a strong start, Olivia and Sigail looking slick in Elie Tahari's collection, and Juile Dumont opening Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B show.

SCOUTING WITH COSMO

We were very happy to see our scouts profiled hard at work in the October issue of Cosmopolitan. One of the girls who was found while we were working with Cosmo was lovely Rachel Marston from Manchester, who went on to become one of our Elite Model Look winners, and is now one of our models! Congratulations and welcome, Rachel!

AS PRETTY AS THEIR PICTURES

We are very proud to have such multi-talented models at Elite... not only do we have nutritional therapists, charity fundraisers and Oxford students, but we have some super talented artists too. Londoner Nichola Czyz has been sending us some new sketches inspired by her travels, while Hana Jirickova has somehow found time to exhibit her work in New York - she is showing at Collective Hardware, 169 Bowery St, NY10002 from September 11th.

HERIKA GETS THE LONDON LOOK

One of our recent main board additions is Herika Fernanda do Noronha. She may be all the way from Brazil, but Herika (far left) has been getting the London look with her recent appearance in the new Rimmel cosmetics campaign. We think she makes a perfect London girl!

Elite London are pleased to announce that we are now representing the gorgeous Kate Somers. And we are even happier that after several amazing show seasons on the spin (Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton...) runway favourite Kate will be arriving in town next week for London Fashion Week!
