I've been thinking a lot about redecorating lately and thanks to I Heart Design by Avenue, I have some inspiration. Their Style Row tells me I am a combination of Grand St., Bleecker St., Rue Claudel, and Wall St.. Annd, go!

Chanel 2011 Cruise Nails It

Chanel Beauty designer Peter Phillips created a new shade of powder blue for Chanel's 2011 Cruise collection, which debuted in St. Tropez yesterday. This could definitely be the new Jade, although I have a feeling the nail polish sell-out buzz might have passed. That said, it will be mine.

When One Isn't Enough

I may already have a cut-off denim vest, but that doesn't stop me from wanting another. (My current is one I DIY-ed from a denim jacket I picked up at Goodwill. I am, of course, the only person who goes into Goodwill and comes out with J.Crew.)

Which do we like, Gap's Raw-edged Denim Vest or J.Crew's Denim Vest? Neither, they're both Man Repellers? You bet they are.

The talented teams from Toni&Guy salons nationwide have been getting the locks of our Elite Model Look contestants runway-ready as we've been trekking all over the country in search of Britain's next supermodels. Here's a taster of what they've been up to...





We're thrilled that Toni&Guy Global Creative Director SACHA MASCOLO-TARBUCK will be joining the jury for our Elite Model Look UK Final in July, and the hottest T&G Academy talent of the year will be working with her to create the looks at the final show. We can't wait!

I am 100% smitten over these Rachel Comey bags. The hiking-inspired shapes designs gained a lot of attention when she showed them in her Spring/Summer 2010 show and they've finally hit stores. I have a major soft spot for anything that involves hiking shapes, fabrics, or styling because I grew up going on hikes nearly every weekend and spending vacations camping. When I was little I sort of hated it, but now I appreciate how awesome it was and really miss it being in New York. A lot of the gear we used were things either passed down from my grandparents or that my parents had used when they were young, meaning everything was perfectly '70s and retro. I made them keep as much of it as possible, but it isn't really wearable in the every day. These bags make it possible, which is why they are top of the list for my summer must-haves.

EML Leeds casting!

The EML crew headed up north for our Leeds casting last weekend for another day filled with Warehouse style, fabulous Eylure lashes and speedy hair styling from Toni & Guy. Applicants took a break from the exhausting business that is getting catwalk ready by lounging on the Samsung Diva chaise and popping into Warehouse for a cupcake (thank you Artisan Cupcake Company) and Sip water before strutting their stuff on the mini catwalk. Elite model Claire Selby turned Warehouse stylist for the day, lending a hand in the style studio before showing us all how to strike a pose in this seasons must have maxi dress. We came away with 2 stunning semi finalists who will be joining the rest of our winners in a big national casting day so congratulations Olivia Dunn and Jenni Lumb....looking forward to seeing you in London! We can hardly believe that the tour has already passed the halfway point so if you want to catch us at a centre near you make sure you have the final dates in your diary!

Ming Xi for Givenchy A/W 10!

We’ve been eagerly anticipating this campaign for a while now and finally the first preview has arrived. Ming Xi is one of our favourite new faces of the moment (and previous EML contestant), who following an exclusive with Givenchy Couture this January came and set the catwalks of LFW alight in February walking for major designers such as Daks, Matthew Williamson, Julien Macdonald and Aquascutum.
