Honestly...WTF at the IFB Conference

I just came across my photo on Honestly...WTF in their post about this week's IFB Conference. I'm a huge fan of their blog and wish I'd known it was Erica when she asked to take my photo (I'm wearing the bolo). There's nothing like showing up on a blog you admire! Thanks so much guys.

DIY: Wall-Mounted Bulb Lamp

My room suffers from the curse of someone who got overzealoused about energy-safe bulbs and thus has a bright sterile white glow. A little trip to Ikea and a lot of help from Mark created the perfect little lamp to solve the problem. We used an Ikea wall bracket, Ikea lamp cord, and a standard silver bowl bulb and drilled three notches to hold the cord, all for about $10. How do you think it goes with my YSL Manifesto print?

Hannah Noble
When these breathtaking editorials arrived in our inbox from the lovely people at Wonderland, we were taken away by just how beautiful our girls look...dominating the pages of one of our favourite glossies, three Elite girls showcase some very different looks, whether its monochrome, boho chic or coat hanger headwear (?) there’s something for everyone!

Boy. by Band of Outsiders Spring 2011 Lookbook

I always love Band of Outsiders' lookbooks. Every season they strike the perfect balance of whimsy, humor, and cool. For Spring 2011, the lookbook for Boy. band of Outsiders Spring features Kirsten Dunst enjoying the Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, CA. Needless to say that I want to be there right now as I have a weakness for botanic gardens, but also cool girls dressed in cool clothes.

Sporty Spice

We are very proud to announce our homegrown beauty, Nyasha Matonhodze, winner of Elite Model Look UK 2009, is currently making waves across the atlantic with this vibrant editorial in teen bible, TeenVogue. Surrounded by a plethora of colours, Nyasha fits the vivacious feel of the shoot down to a T! That smile would brighten up even the greyest of days here at Elite London HQ! The feature, shot by Daniel Jackson, has left us wishing for spring to hurry up so we can brighten up our dull winter wardrobes, just like Nyasha. Take a look at the full editorial here on models.com.

DKNY Spring 2011 Handbags

I don't usually pay a ton of attention to DKNY, but after frequenting Blanche's in their Madison Avenue flagship for lunch (salad wrap with chicken and goat cheese), their handbags caught my eye. I love the simple ageless shapes, the mix of vintage inspiration and modern lines, and the playful colors and textures. Plus, the price point is pretty attainable. I'll take these four.

A VISION OF COLOUR

Vogue Beauty never fails to impress us with its innovative and sometimes out there approach to make up trends, Japans latest issue is a prime example featuring the gorgeous Caroline Brasch-Nielsen. Would we dare this look for a day in the agency...probably not but then again we don't have Caroline's cheekbones!
